Precision Drive Systems (PDS), a global provider of precision motor spindles, expert engineering support, and repair services near Charlotte, NC, has announced the hiring of Brian Barefoot as a Sales Engineer for new engineered products and services.

Brian will help us identify both rebuild services and new spindle opportunities and quickly become a trusted advisor to PDS customers.” As a field sales executive, Brian will collaborate with inside sales and engineering to secure leads, surpass customer expectations, strengthen key relationships, and drive business opportunities nationwide.
Before joining PDS, Brian spent six years as a regional manager with Dixon Engineering and Sales, where he generated $1.5 million in annual sales while building important relationships with industrial automation and capital equipment OEMs, plant managers, machine builders, and system integrations across North and South Carolina. He previously served as a lead field technician at TDX Tech in Minneapolis, overseeing large-scale installations for national retail and industrial clients across multiple states. He began his career as the founder and owner of Barefoot Technology Services, delivering comprehensive IT and automation solutions — including VoIP, VPN, network infrastructure, system integration, and remote monitoring and diagnostics — for small to mid-sized businesses and light-industrial customers for more than 20 years. He graduated Magna Cum Laude from UNC-Charlotte with a B.S. in Electrical Engineering Technology in 2016.
