Two-Day Event to Equip Male Leaders in Manufacturing with Tools to Foster Team Collaboration and Inclusion
The Women in Manufacturing (WiM) Association is thrilled to announce that the inaugural Men as Allies Conference will take place on February 19-20, 2025, in Clearwater Beach, FL. This conference is designed for male leaders and managers in the manufacturing industry who are committed to fostering greater collaboration and inclusion within their teams.
“The Men as Allies Conference is an important step toward building workplaces where everyone can thrive,” says WiM president and founder Allison Grealis. “By equipping male leaders with the tools, knowledge and perspectives needed to be effective allies, we're helping shape the future of the manufacturing industry. ”
The Men as Allies Conference will offer an opportunity for participants to deepen their understanding of allyship, engage in vital conversations about gender equity and leave armed with actionable strategies to drive meaningful, inclusive change in their workplaces.
Sessions include presentations on what allyship is and why it matters, the business case for gender equity, enhancing allyship through emotional intelligence, allyship in action, and creating an allyship action plan. The conference also will feature small, interactive breakout sessions and engaging expert panel discussions, all aimed at equipping attendees with concrete tools and ideas to elevate their role as allies in the workplace.
Opening remarks will be delivered by Rich Stinson, CEO and president of the Southwire Company, and the conference will close with a powerful keynote by Barry Powell, president and regional CEO of Siemens Electrical Products. View the full agenda and list of speakers on the Men as Allies event webpage.
“Meaningful allyship requires action, listening and learning,” says MTE president and Men as Allies presenter Ahsan Javed. “The future of manufacturing depends on harnessing all available talent, and that starts with male leaders stepping up as committed allies.”
