The 3-dimensional services group adds 60kw fiber laser to its lineup of leading-edge manufacturing technologies

The 3-Dimensional Services Group, a manufacturer of production-intent prototypes and low-volume production announced the installation of its newest technology, the 60kW fiber laser, to its already leading edge manufacturing technologies.

The acquisition continues the company’s quest for the most current major capital equipment. The company, according to Douglas Peterson, founder and CEO, added this unit to complement its already comprehensive laser cutting technologies.

“We have never been more optimistic about the future,” says Peterson. “Our continued growth in the on-demand manufacturing sector, the ever-expanding range of services we offer, and our core mission of providing clients with a complete one-stop manufacturing resource all make these investments essential to keeping our technology at the forefront of the industry.”

The G.Weike 60kW fiber laser is a high-performance industrial machine capable of cutting materials up to 4 inches thick at a 45-degree bevel, with a generous cutting area of

16' x 32'.The new fiber laser joins several other company-wide systems, include both 3-and 5-axis.

The fiber laser is designed for heavy fabrication, steel structures, thick-plate cutting, and high volume industrial applications. It is redefining speed, precision and efficiency in metal processing.

The 3-Dimensional Services Group, headquartered in Rochester Hills, MI offers tool design and manufacturing, machining, metal forming, metal bending, laser cutting, plastic injection molding, and assembly services.
