Scotchman Industries introduces the HB-88 Horizontal Bending and Straightening Press, a universal hydraulic press designed to perform bending, profiling, and straightening operations.
Engineered for power, the HB-88 combines robust hydraulic performance with smart controls, all within a compact footprint of 69.5"W x 41"D x 55"H. With 88 U.S. tons of force, a 7.5 HP motor, and an 11.8-inch stroke, this machine is built to handle demanding fabrication applications requiring bending, profiling, and straightening operations. Standard features include a support arm to reduce material flex when bending heavy stock, along with dual-column posts for straightening applications or cambering beams.
The user-friendly NC control system allows operators to easily set and monitor piston stroke values while storing up to 100 custom work cycles, each with up to six steps. A manual/automatic operation selector and electric foot pedals provide smooth, precise piston movement for optimal control and safety.
Each HB-88 press comes equipped with a standard tooling package that includes a four-sided V-die with openings of 5/8", 7/8", 1-3/8", 2", and 3", a matching V-stamp, resistance pins, and a manual back gauge.

"With the successful introduction of the HB-31 bender in 2025, several of our customers were asking for greater capacity to handle larger fabrication applications. The team at Scotchman responded by introducing the HB-88 bender, which significantly expands our product line. We're excited to provide our customers with the capabilities they need and to help them any way we can," said Brad Heltzel, General Manager of Scotchman Industries.
