Event draws attendees from around the world.
Davi welcomed over 80 customers and potential partners from around the globe to the company’s headquarters in Cesena, Italy, for its Power Generation Seminar. The two-day event focused on manufacturing innovations and technologies geared specifically to the Energy sector.
Seminar attendees experienced technical presentations and live demonstrations from both Davi and a few of its key partners. Those included Pemamek, specializing in welding automation; PIETRO CARNAGHI, machine tool OEM; Dillinger, producer of fabricated metal products; and Cutlite Penta S.p.A high-performance fiber-laser system manufacturer.
During the event, Davi conducted a live demonstration rolling a massive 130 mm (5") thick plate that showcased the power and precision of Davi machines. The company’s MCE e-Power fully electric plate rolling machine paired with the new Davi AI-Vision laser measuring system also garnered much attention from attendees.
MCE e-POWER machines embody the highest levels of precision, productivity, ease of maintenance and energy efficiency all within a quiet, compact machine that ensures hassle-free installation.
The AI-Vision system represents the augmentation of artificial intelligence (AI) into the plate rolling process. It makes the plate rolling process significantly easier and provides better results not only for seasoned operators, but also for those that are less experienced. Because the system eliminates the need for measuring with manual templates, it improves plate rolling accuracy and speed, while helping to reduce scrap.
The AI-Vision applies to Davi’s line of all-electric plate rolling machines. The MCE e-POWER machines feature extremely precise technology that achieves a positioning accuracy of 0.05" (1.27 mm), compared to the typical 0.1" (2.54 mm) precision found on conventional plate rolling machines. MCE e-POWER, iRoll (eXtreme or Performance) controls and AI-Vision together unlock the Davi’s Autorolling © technology.
President and CEO of Davi, Inc. Alessandro Soffritti thanked all the Power Generation Seminar 2025 participants, partners and the Davi team for making the event a success. He also credited the technical sessions with fostering important Energy industry discussions and for critical exchanges of knowledge.
The seminar culminated with a dinner inside the Davi plant with two big heavy-duty plate rolls as guests of honor. Davi also gave the dinner a special touch of Italy, thanks to the presence of a Ferrari Portofino.
