September 6, 2016 - American Weldquip, Sharon Center, Ohio, recently introduced a water-cooled version of the ArcSafe Advantage “Hollow Wrist” robotic torch system.

The 550 Series water-cooled systems unique rotary electrical joint provides the benefit of no electrical cable twisting or torsional strain to substantially increase cable life.

The systems modular design concept allows lower inventory requirements by offering a common front platform across multiple brand name robots and in air and water cooled versions. In addition the design allows for easy conversion to water-cooled if you currently have an air-cooled version.

All Advantage Series quick change goosenecks incorporate a unique and proven “PRECISION TCP LOCATING FLAT” system. No pins or keys to fall out. American Weldquip’s locating positioning flat has proven over and over again to be “FLAT OUT THE BEST” design to guarantee you repetitive TCP placement.

The standard configuration includes the electrical rotary joint common to all robotic systems. Selecting the proper insulating disk adapts the system to any Thru Arm robot with built-in software collision protection. Options include Collision Sensing, air blast, voltage and nozzle touch sensing.

The combination of a heavy-duty torch design with the unique positioning flat, long life consumables, quick change robust gooseneck and cable assembly provide a highly accurate, repeatable and low maintenance “Thru the Arm” robotic package for precision welding and maximum productivity.
