May 11, 2023- Red Bud Industries received an order for a .500” (12.7 mm) x 84” (2130 mm) Heavy Gauge Cut-To-Length Linewith a Stretcher Leveler from McNeilus Steel, Inc., a family-owned service center located in Dodge Center, Minnesota. The new line represents McNeilus Steel’s fifth Stretcher Leveling Line and an ongoing commitment to their philosophy of providing their customers with the highest quality product possible.
The Stretcher Leveler features Red Bud Industries’ proprietary SUREGRIP® no slip technology that eliminates the need to use cardboard gripper inserts. The units also include Red Bud’s Quick Draw system that produces the quickest cycle times in the industry. A Pop Top “Deep Plunge” Straightener will work in concert with the Stretcher to provide unparalleled leveling capabilities and produce flat material that stays flat, even after being laser cut. The top crown of the Straightener can also be opened with a push of a button to allow easy access to the rolls for cleaning and/or maintenance. A Dust Collection unit is also included. In addition, the hybrid line will have a direct drive Roll Feed System that will allow material up to .375” (9.5 mm) to run in a loop which will yield significantly higher production speeds when operating in this mode of operation.
The new line consists of a Coil Stage & Load System rated for 80,000 lb (36,000 kg) coils, Uncoiler, Peeler Breaker, Pop Top Precision Straightener with Exit Pull Rolls, T3 Stretcher Leveler, Rotating Brush Dust Collector, direct drive Roll Feed and Loop, 300 Ton (272 metric ton) Shear with Quick Change Shear Blades, 480” (12,200 mm) Drop Stacker with capabilities to run longer parts, Three (3) Stack Tables, and End Discharge Roller Conveyors.
