May 13, 2022 - Mate Precision Technologies, Minneapolis, is the winner of two awards for a wellness program designed to help its employees in 2021. “A well workplace is a happy and productive workplace,” said HR Manager, Ann Peterson. “Mate employees have responded enthusiastically to our CheckMate Wellness Program, which has provided health benefits and resources to our workforce, and aided employees through the pandemic.”
For the first award, the American Heart Association 2021 Workplace Health Achievement Index announced that Mate Precision Technologies achieved national Gold Level recognition for taking significant steps to build a culture of health and well-being for their workforce. Mate is one of more than 450 organizations nationwide that completed the American Heart Association Index assessment in 2021. Of the organizations that completed the Index assessment, 43 percent earned gold, 31 percent silver and 19 percent bronze status.
Next, Mate came in second among midsized companies (100 – 1,499 employees) for the Healthiest Employers of Minnesota Award. Healthiest Employers created the program to honor people-first organizations that prioritize the well-being of their employees.
The Healthiest Employers award program recognizes companies for their commitment to workplace wellness and exceptional health and benefits offerings. In addition, several companies adapted to remote workforces and new policies because of the global pandemic over the past year and a half.
Healthiest Employers Award applicants were evaluated across six key categories: Culture and Leadership, Foundational Components, Strategic Planning, Communication and Marketing, Programming and Interventions, and Reporting and Analytics. Completed assessments used the proprietary Healthiest Employers® Index, a 1-100 rubric for wellness programming for ranking purposes. In addition, the survey is scored and powered by Springbuk. This health intelligence platform simplifies data-driven decision-making with an intuitive user experience, predictive modeling, and curated action steps.
“By expanding our view of wellness beyond the physical aspect, we will be able to improve our health, wealth, relationships and the community in which we live and work”, stated Jessica Kluck, a member of the CheckMate Wellness Committee at Mate. The CheckMate Wellness Program includes: Annual Health Fair, Employee Guided Program Offerings, Employee Farmer’s Market Stand, Flu Shots at Work, Health Insurance discounts for participants and more.
The CheckMate Wellness Program pledges to personally respect, support and inspire employees and their families to lead a healthy lifestyle by offering beneficial programs and helpful resources.
