ReFab Metal Fabrication announces new president

December 16, 2020 - ReFab Metal Fabrication, Grand Haven, Michigan, a division of DeWys Manufacturing, will be transitioning to a new operating president come January 1, 2021. Andrew DeWys, the current Supply Chain Manager at DeWys Mfg., will assume day-to-day leadership of ReFab in the new year and is optimistic for the positive changes to come as DeWys Manufacturing and ReFab work towards aligning company goals.

Josh Vink (previous owner) will continue to work with ReFab as the outside sales representative, maintaining the positive relationships created over the years with ReFab’s valued customers.

“We are excited about the acquisition of ReFab and the opportunity to have Andrew take over as President,” says Mark Schoenborn, President at DeWys Manufacturing. “Andrew has a vast knowledge of manufacturing and will instill the DeWys values at ReFab as we continue to grow their business.”

With a degree in Business Management, Supply Chain Certification through Michigan State University and Supply Chain Management Council with The Right Place, Andrew has years of experience working alongside the DeWys Mfg. leadership team and one on one executive coaching. He is qualified and open to what the future holds both personally and professionally. The responsibilities in this new role will include providing strong leadership for the company by working with the board and other executives to establish short- and long-term goals. As well as managing budgets, adding growth of sales and capacity, and continuing to support all stakeholders internally and externally.

“One of the greatest joys I get to see in my 100x practice is the continued growth of family owned businesses in West Michigan. This is the next logical step for the DeWys family in its goal of being a multi-generational family business. They are truly living out core values of life, leadership and legacy.” – Steve Johandes, member of DeWys’ Board of Directors

The acquisition and transition at ReFab are just part of a series of exciting changes to come for both ReFab and DeWys Manufacturing.
