Amada America celebrates the grand opening of its latest major U.S. manufacturing site

December 4, 2019 - In 2018, AMADA AMERICA INC., Buena Park, California, proudly broke ground on a 190,000 sq. ft. manufacturing plant and 62,000 sq. ft. technical center in High Point, North Carolina. December 6, 2019 marks the Grand Opening date for the Carolina Manufacturing Center. Located on the same high-tech campus, the Carolina Technical Center will open in 2020.

The Carolina Center represents AMADA’s latest major manufacturing site in the U.S. — complementing existing manufacturing centers in Brea, California, and Batavia, New York. Combined, these facilities will enable AMADA to expedite production and delivery of industry-leading products including; lasers, press brakes, automated systems, and precision tooling via nationwide manufacturing. AMADA is also extending its reach of customer service and support with the addition of the Carolina Technical Center. Upon its completion, the Carolina Technical Center will join the Los Angeles Technical Center, and the Schaumburg Solution Center in providing ideal venues for hands-on demonstrations of AMADA’s innovative machine solutions and production-enhancing manufacturing techniques.

AMADA’s dedication to innovation has established the company as the global leader in the engineering and manufacturing of advanced metalworking systems. Research & Development plays a key role in understanding customers’ needs and providing optimal solutions for resolving specific manufacturing challenges. The growing network of customer-centered sites in close proximity to state-of-the art manufacturing centers brings the power of AMADA engineering, manufacturing, and verification together for the North American sheet metal fabrication industry. In addition, one-on-one access to engineers and manufacturing specialists allows customers to experience AMADA’s full circle of innovation, production, and support.

The first products manufactured at the new Carolina Center will include automation systems and AMADA’s newest line of press brakes, the HRB Series. The high-precision HRB series is engineered to meet the unique needs of American fabricators. As a result, a wide selection of production-enhancing features can be customized to resolve each customer’s specific manufacturing challenges. In order to supply tooling for the new press brakes manufactured in North Carolina, AMADA TOOL AMERICA recently expanded its production facility in Batavia, New York. The 19,000 sq. ft. expansion will ensure prompt production and delivery of precision-ground tooling.

The Carolina Manufacturing Center, and soon-to-open Carolina Technical Center, are the latest examples of AMADA’s ongoing commitment to ensure maximum productivity and profitability of American manufacturers.
