November 2013 - In continuation with their regional growth and sales coverage expansion, Mazak Optonics Corp. has created a new Central Region territory. The territory will encompass all of Illinois and the St. Louis area and will be led by Keith Leuthold, Mazak Optonics Corp. technical sales director.

“The continued growth of Mazak Optonics has created the need for further expansion of regional territories,” explained Al Bohlen, National Sales Manager. “This expansion of territories will allow more accessibility to Mazak laser experts for our customer base.”

Although the Central Region is brand new, its leader is a long-standing veteran at Mazak. Keith Leuthold joined the Mazak team in 1989 as their North Central Regional Manager and later took on the role of Technical Sales Director.

"I am excited for the opportunity to be working with our local dealers and more directly with customers in analyzing their cutting applications and justifying their laser investment,” said Leuthold. “I find it very satisfying to witness the results of reducing their manufacturing costs with our laser technologies."

Bohlen shares Leuthold’s enthusiasm for the expansion. “Keith has been a key member of the Mazak team for many years,” said Bohlen. “His experience will have an immediate impact in this newly defined Central Region.”
