Heidtman Steel Products Incorporated and Steel and Pipe Supply Co., Inc. are proud to announce the formation of a strategic joint venture, Granite City Processing LLC, commencing January 1, 2026. This new partnership brings together two respected industry leaders to collaborate on a shared vision for the future.
Granite City Processing, a toll operation, will operate from the former Heidtman Steel Granite City, Illinois operation, and will leverage the combined strengths of both companies to deliver enhanced capabilities and service offerings to customers across the region.
Granite City Processing is currently equipped with a coil pickle line that handles widths up to 72-inches and gauges up to 0.500 inches, three slitters capable of handling gauges from 0.050 to 0.500 inches and two cut-tolength lines capable of processing coils from 0.109 to 0.500. Building on this strong foundation, Granite City Processing will add a light‑gauge slitter in 2026 and a 5/8-inch stretcher‑leveling cut‑to‑length line, with completion targeted for early 2027.
