May 2025- The sculpture, made from steel, stands as the southern gateway of the Iron Belle Trail, which spans 2,000 miles from Detroit to Ironwood, Michigan. Measuring 25 ft. in diameter and weighing 8 tons, the work was placed on Belle Isle, in the Detroit River, in 2022. The sculpture was created at Detroit Design Center by artists ERIK and ISRAEL NORDIN. In the heart of Detroit, amid the relics of an industrial era, the pair reuse old steel, glass, wood and other materials to fulfill public and private commissions.
